DEBT COLLECTION SERVICE

To use this service, you first purchase a book of Debt Referral Coupons. These are available in 10's, 25's and multiples of 25. A Coupon is simply a means of you letting us know from whom you wish us to collect. As soon as a coupon is received, a series of letters, designed to produce payment quickly, are sent to your debtor. Letters are sent at 14 day intervals, each requesting payment be made direct to you, thus creating as little delay as possible in you receiving payment. In the unlikely event of these letters not producing payment, a full legal service is available, but unless legal action has to be taken, your total cost of using this service is that charged for the coupons.


LEGAL SERVICE

Should court action become necessary, our solicitor will take all the necessary action on your behalf, if you so wish. A collection fee of 5% of the amount recovered, excluding fees, is charged for this service. However, a minimum handling charge is made, but a maximum collection fee will also apply. If for any reason legal fees are not recovered (but this is a rare occurrence) you will be responsible for these fees. Legal fees are charged to you as they are incurred by us and it may be you will be charged legal fees before a full recovery is made. By handling legal actions in this manner, we are able to maintain full control over your accounts and to ensure all possible steps are taken to obtain a full recovery of the amount due together with costs and interest. Fees for actions outside Scotland are higher than those shown above.

TRACING SERVICE

We can offer a full tracing service throughout the UK and Eire. Costs of tracing rather depends on the area of the UK and the time involved. Prices are available upon application. Your authorization will be requested where costs are likely to greatly exceed the stated amount.
